How We are Separating from the Competition
The modern look of Naco is paired with a neutral color pallet to draw you eye past your usual dark blue and red that is found in other dog food brands. This color pallet includes a mustard yellow, light blue, peach, and sage green. Using a simple logo that can be used in a single color will allow to keep consistency while exchanging the color with each recipe. Simplicity will also allow for the audience to easily recognize the brand by just a glance. Naco is not only separating itself by looks it is also making strides in minimal ingredient recipes.
Target Market
These recipes are not only for separating from the competition it also stresses the importance of our target market. The specific target market of Naco is the generation x who are beginning to make money but do not have kids yet. Because of the lack of dependents of this generation they are spending money on their chosen dependents: their pets or more specifically dogs. Using our modern look and neutral colors we can catch the eyes of this market and the safe minimal ingredients keep them drawn in.
This generation find social and environmental issues very important to them which is where our sustainable packaging comes into play. With easily recyclable cardboard structured packaging we are actively working to minimize plastic and overall waste. These treats are also a great option for those who have pets with allergies or watch what their pets eat more vigilantly than others. With one to two ingredients per recipe the owner can easily see what is in their food.
Brand Mission
As mentioned before sustainability is an important factor of our brand and product line. All Naco’s treats can be found in packaging that is able to be recycled on your curbside pick-up making it easy to do your part to a sustainable life. However, this mission doesn’t stop at packaging by donating to important charities such as ones that clean waste from the ocean. We also donate treats to local animal shelters to our manufacturing area which is rural Iowa.
Environment
We will be placed in local pet food stores such as Wholesome Pet Essentials in Ankeny, Iowa along with national stores such as target. This will give us the opportunity to reach our target market that is seeking out dog treats. The goal is to have specific displays when new recipe products come out. With an interesting display filled with our brand colors and illustrations that will catch our target audience’s eye.
